The Kenneth and Caroline Taylor Family Foundation was established in 2000 by Ken and Caroline Taylor. Ken is a Wyalusing native and graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School; Caroline is a former president of the Wyalusing Area School District Board. Together, they established this scholarship program to assist local students who plan to continue their education in college, vocational, or technical school programs.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. For those pursuing a bachelor’s degree, the award is renewable annually for up to three (3) years or until the undergraduate degree is earned, whichever comes first. For those pursuing a certificate or associate degree, the award is renewable for one (1) year or until the program is completed.
Up to seven (7) new awards will be granted each year:
Awards to bachelor’s-degree recipients are renewable up to three (3) additional years (or until degree completion). Awards to certificate/associate degree recipients are renewable for one (1) year (or until certificate/associate degree completed), contingent upon minimum academic performance and good standing. All awards are contingent upon there being qualified applicants.
“Applicants to the Kenneth and Caroline Taylor Scholarship Program must be seniors at Wyalusing Valley Junior-Senior High School who plan to enroll in a full-time* undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year or two-year college or university, or at an accredited vocational-technical college or institute, for the entire upcoming academic year.
*Full-time study is defined as enrollment for the entire upcoming academic year.”
